[8.7]. Mission 7 - Carrington Institute: Defense (3)

After the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (an in-game cinematic) where Joanna steals a gun, strafe right and kill the giant Skedar monster. Turn around and go down the ramps. Go left at the end, run across the helipad, and go through the doorway to your right. Cross the next helipad and go through the next door to your right. Head through the door in front of you, turn left, then right. Find and activate a control panel. Turn around and go down the tunnel to the right of the control panel. Make another right turn and go through the large, blue doors. Go left and follow the tunnel to another blue door. Turn left to find another control panel and activate it. Return to the tunnel to the right of the first control panel. Run past the boxes and go through the doors. Continue until you reach another door. Go in, turn left to find the last control panel, and activate it to complete the first objective. Return up the ramps to the top.

Turn left and run past the brown doors, then take the elevator on your right. At the top, use a Combat Boost (a special ability to slow time) to slow things down. Go right and into the door. Kill the guards holding hostages. Leave the room and enter the room right next to it. Quickly kill the guards holding hostages. Take the elevator back down to the lobby. Exit the elevator and go right to the last brown double door on your right. Move around to the left and kill the guards to save hostages. Leave this room and go left to the other brown double doors. Kill the guards holding hostages and free them to complete the second objective.

In the same room, find the weapon in a glass case next to the computer desk. Activate the computer, then open the glass case to get the experimental weapon and complete the third objective.

Take the elevator to the top floor. Go through the door at the end of the hallway to your left. Go to the piece of steel on the back wall and use your laser to shoot it. After a while, it will be destroyed, revealing sensitive information. Destroy the information with your laser to complete this objective.

Run back into the lobby near where you started. Take the ramps down to the end and through the halls. Make a left at the end of the hall and cross the helipad. Run to the Ship and use the Data Uplink on it to download the virus. Once downloaded, run back through the hallway you came through, keeping right. Go through the door at the end on your right to complete the fourth and final objective.
