    From Old Spring East, take the north exit and go straight north to reach the Sand Fortress.

    Before entering, find the merchant. Recommended purchases include 6 Fang Charms (3 for Stocke, 3 for Marco), a Rune Spear for Raynie, and potentially a Rune Edge for Stocke. Buy 2 Anti-Sleep items for the upcoming [Night Watch] sidequest.

    Hug the west cliffs in the Sand Fortress South area to avoid traps.

    To reach the third floor quickly, walk up the middle staircases. Then, go right and up the stairs to the exit.

    For better rewards, fight as many soldiers as possible for gold and experience. You may also find a Vital Blade from Feepos.

    Proceed through the door atop the third floor for the boss battle.

Boss Battle: Granorg Defender, Granorg Archer x2, Light Granorgite x2

Weakness: None

Strategy: Have Marco cast Magic Boost on Raynie and Stocke. Raynie and Stocke should use Push Assault and Thunder to defeat one Light Granorgite and one Granorg Archer. After they are defeated, use the Change command to perform six consecutive turns, alternating between physical attacks and spells, to defeat the Granorg Defender.

Recommended Equipment:

  • Stocke: Rune Edge, Beast Skins, 3 Fang Charms
  • Raynie: Rune Spear, Brigandine, 3 Horn Charms
  • Marco: Custom Sword, Bronze Mail, 3 Fang Charms

Gran Plain (Standard Chapter 1)

Recommended Level: 14

Recommended Party: Stocke, Raynie, Marco

Enemies: Blue Flame (Ice), Goblin Foot (Lightning), Wood Goblin (Lightning)

    Head north to Gran Plain East, then west to the checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).

    You will encounter someone in distress to the east. Choose "Let's go save her now." to unlock the [At Journey's End] sidequest.

    Prepare to deal with the source of the disturbance.

Boss Battle: Sabertooth Tiger x2

Weakness: None

Strategy: Have Marco cast Magic Boost on Raynie. Stocke and Raynie should use Push Assault to push the tigers into the back row. Then, use two combos of Left Assault, any spell, and an attack from Marco to defeat them.
