Complete RollerCoaster Tycoon Original Scenarios to unlock Mega Park. Learn strategies for Whispering Cliffs in Corkscrew Follies.

By completing all of the "Original" RollerCoaster Tycoon scenarios, you unlock "Mega Park." You will not get a message saying so, but it should appear on the list.

B. Roller Coaster Tycoon: Corkscrew Follies

Corkscrew Follies is the first expansion pack to the original Rollercoaster Tycoon. Adding 30 scenarios to the original 21, it really raised the bar in terms of what you have to achieve and, especially, the locations in which you have to build your parks. It also added to the game in terms of additional scenery and rides, as well as additions to existing rides.

As in the original, you start with 5 scenarios unlocked, and completing those will unlock the others. However, progresing won't be as easy as it was in the original; I can almost guarantee that.

Your best bet is to use what flat land you have to build thrill and gentle rides, but those won't be enough to raise your park value. When it comes to the roller coasters, build them underground or on the side of the cliff, as to conserve space and make for a more exiting ride. While daunting at first, you'll find the cliff can be your friend.

First, you have the Circus Show and Crooked House. The former has a high capacity, while the latter's is quite low. Both will draw guests, though. The other is the Ghost Train. This ride can be a lot of fun to build, but take care when going around corners and up hills; if the cars are going too fast, they will careem off the track and crash, and that's never good. Use lots of scenery and underground sections to make the ride as exciting as can be.

Difficulty: 5/10. Three years is plenty of time to achieve the park value; just remember to keep building and rebuilding as necessary, and that achieiving a high park value is no excuse for ignoring a well designed park.

23. Three Monkeys Park
