Crafting is a cornerstone of SCUM, allowing you to create everything from basic tools to advanced weapons and base components. Resources are found throughout the environment:

• Small Stones/Stones: For knives, axes, and basic tools.
• Sticks/Long Sticks: For spears, bows, and shelter frames.
• Plant Fiber: From bushes, used for rope, rags, and improvised clothing.
• Wood Logs/Planks: From trees, for base building.
• Scrap Metal/Metal Sheets: From vehicles, industrial areas, for advanced tools and metal bases.
• Animal Hides/Fat: From hunting, for improvised armor, clothing, and fuel.

The crafting menu (Tab) shows available recipes. As your skills improve, more complex recipes unlock. Experiment with combining items in your inventory to discover new recipes. Resource management is key to successful crafting.
