The Mech: Automated Sentinels — SCUM Walkthrough

Evade SCUM's Mechs: learn their patrol routes, detection ranges, and attack patterns. Use stealth, distractions, and EMP grenades to bypass them.

Mechs are heavily armored, automated sentinels that patrol high-tier loot zones like military bases and airfields. They are invulnerable to small arms fire and will instantly kill any player they detect.

• Phases/Behavior: Mechs patrol a fixed route. They have a visual and auditory detection range. Once detected, they will issue a warning, then open fire with their machine gun, followed by a rocket barrage.
• Weaknesses: Mechs have no direct weaknesses to player weapons. They are designed to be avoided, not fought.
• Strategy:
  • Stealth: Crouch or prone, move slowly, and stay out of their line of sight. Use cover effectively.
  • Distraction: Throwing rocks or shooting a distant object can temporarily divert their attention.
  • Evasion: If detected, sprint for cover immediately. Break line of sight.
  • EMP Grenades (Rare): These extremely rare grenades can temporarily disable a mech, allowing for a brief window to pass.
• Rewards: Access to the high-tier loot zones they guard.
