Base Building and Fortification

Build and fortify your base in SCUM: claim territory with a flag, construct wooden and metal structures, and install locks for security.

Base building is a core activity for long-term survival and security. You can construct several structures, from simple shelters to elaborate multi-story fortresses. Start with a Flag to claim your territory, then build a Wooden Chest for storage. Progress to Wooden Walls, Doors, and Roofs. As you gather more advanced materials like metal, you can upgrade to stronger Metal Walls and Reinforced Doors. Remember to install locks (padlocks, combination locks) to protect your loot. Consider building near a water source and away from high-traffic areas. Fortifying your base against both puppets and other players is an ongoing project.
