Balms and other fixed Search point locations

Find rare items like balms, incense, and sutras at fixed search points in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Includes locations for Kushi Mitama.

Note: Balms cannot be farmed this way. This is a list of general areas for rare items, skipping those easily obtainable later.

Minato Locations:

1. Agility Balm - Found in Shiba near the area just before where you meet up with Yuzuru the first time.
2. Health Incense - Found near the group of Onmoraki near the Mita save point.
3. Magic Incense - Found near crossroads between Tamachi and Mita.
4. Strength Incense - Found north of the 2nd group of vending machines in Tamachi and the group of slimes, near the building with the 3rd Miman (a hidden collectible).
5. Strength Incense - Found at the entrance of the lake near Shiba park where the Mermaid with the quest is.
6. Magic Incense - Found North of the Mandrake with the quest in Shiba park.
7. Ice Sutra - South of Shiba park save point (there are 2 fixed search points south of it).
8. Brown Mitama (Kushi Mitama) - Found north of Tokyo tower (save at a previous save point).
9. Luck Incense - North of Tokyo tower (further than the Kushi Mitama).
10. Fire Sutra - East corner of Tokyo tower.
11. Agility Incense - Found in the western part of Shiba reached by going south of Tokyo tower, the point is beyond the buildings area in a north of the bridge, on the ground. South east of the chest in the alley (Cait Sith).
12. Vitality Incense - Found north east of the first 3 Zhen you encounter when you enter the city part of Kamiyacho.
13. Stamina Incense - Found on top of the hill where Huang Long is.
14. Elec Sutra - Found on the way to Anahita at the spring.
15. Agility Incense - Found in the western part of Kamiyacho near a tree, but east of and below the area with Jatayu's nest.
16. Vitality Incense - Found on the road south of the red cube going into a building and west of the Kamiyacho save point.
17. Aiding Sutra - Found east of the previous item.
18. Agility Incense - Found south east of the Diet building.
19. Strength Incense - Found south west of the Diet building among the trees and plants.

Shinagawa Locations:

1. Calamity Sutra - South of the first save point.
2. Agility Incense - Found south east of the northernmost human NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you).
3. Vitality Balm - Found in the south west of Tenmoku; to get here, use the north west most walkway (the one near 2 Andras) then go south until you pass a group of Rakshasa and Legion.
4. Light Sutra - Found up a hill/slanted building north west of the previous item.
5. Health Incense - Found south east of the Tenmoku save point.
6. Agility Balm - Found just slightly west of the bridge leading out of Tenozu, the one with an Incubus NPC next to it.
7. Health Incense - Found on the way up the spiral mountain in Tenozu where Belphegor is found.
8. Strength Incense - Found a little further up than the previous item, very near where Belphegor is.
9. Luck Incense - Found south of the building with a human inside (with a Mothman outside it).
10. Calamity Sutra - Found south of the bridge you cross after finding all 4 students, right before the fork.
11. Luck Balm - Found at the west end of the Shinagawa Pier area, between where the two chests on the west border are.
12. Light Sutra - Found near the container area where Principality is at Container Yard.
13. Aogami Type 3 - Found further inside the container area where Principality is.
14. Stamina Incense - Found north of Nekomata in the container yard after Loup Garou.
15. Force Sutra - Follow the path from the previous item; the next search point has this (you would be going west).
16. Brown Mitama (Kushi Mitama) Spawn - Follow the path from the previous one and go north up on the train tracks; the search point before the train has this (save at a previous save point).
17. Stamina Incense - Found in the North part of the forest in Gotenyama (ground floor).
18. Magic Incense - Found going south from the cliff slope in Gotenyama.
19. Vitality Incense - Found above the Oni NPC on the way to the Fairy village, on the ruined building (you need to go through a ruined building in the village to reach).
20. Ice Sutra - Found east of the river near Arahabaki in the Fairy village.
21. Magic Balm - Found downstream from the Fairy village right after going under the train tracks above.
22. Luck Incense - Found near Valkyrie in South Shinagawa.
23. Strength Balm - Found after climbing the slope after the group of Berith and Eligor in North Shinagawa, slightly west after climbing up near a Miman location, before the 2nd Red cube to climb.
24. Vitality Incense - Found on the path east of the Abscess in North Shinagawa.
25. Agility Incense - Found downstream from where Idun is going east.
26. Aiding Sutra - Found further downstream east from the above item.
27. Healing Sutra - Found a bit south east from the Fairy village save point near a north wall.

Chiyoda Locations:

Disclaimer: Some locations with Sutras and single incense (not the x2 ones) may be from random spots and not fixed. Battle sutra and Vitality incense tend to pop from some random spots in this region. Jewels do not pop from fixed points.

1. Brown Mitama (Kushi Mitama) - Found near a slanted building west of the first save point. (Possibly random spot and obtained out of luck).
2. Battle Sutra - Found after passing through the narrow alley after the first group of Lamia, Miyuki Street.
3. Destruction Sutra - Found north of the first save point in the pits below in a corner.
4. Magic Incense x2 - Found in the alley on the way to the Yurakucho Abscess (before the slanted building but after the Muu Shuwuu above).
5. Aiding Sutra - Just a bit east of where... [incomplete in source]
