Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Part 10 covers Stone Hill, including gem collection, freeing dragons, and rescuing a dragon egg from an Egg Thief.
Walkthrough
- 1Open the four metal chests containing 14 gems (total).
- 2Run alongside the beach wall to collect two green gems and a red gem.
- 3Enter the whirlwind to return to the vortex area.
- 4Go back through the last room and to the starting area.
- 5Find the well next to the hill in the middle and jump in to find a hidden area.
- 6Collect three loose gems alongside a wall in the hidden area.
- 7Approach the chest opposite the gems in the well to unlock it, rewarding about 10 gems.
- 8Speak to Gavin, who reminds you to feed Sparx butterflies if he's off color.
- 9Take the whirlwind out of the well.
- 10Go straight ahead towards the third and final tunnel.
- 11Follow the tunnel, collecting 3 gems along the way.
- 12In the larger area, go clockwise to collect a loose red gem by a large stump.
- 13Collect a green gem from the chest next to the stump.
- 14Defeat the first Ram for 5 gems.
- 15Get the chest ahead for a purple gem.
- 16Defeat another Ram for a green gem.
- 17Defeat the two Shepards, being careful as they are agile and use kungfu moves; flame them when they are not using their shields. Collect a green gem from each.
- 18Defeat the next Ram for 2 gems and collect the 5 red gems beside it.
- 19Collect a purple gem from the metal chest along the nearby wall.
- 20Return to near the first Shepard and defeat the last Ram and Shepard for 7 more gems.
- 21Before going up the whirlwind in the tower, check the area for any more gems.
- 22Collect the purple and red gems up top.
- 23Speak to Gildas on top of the tower in the middle of the area through the right-most tunnel; he will explain that gliding at the peak of your jump allows for a longer glide.
- 24Collect two red gems on the hills in the near distance behind Gildas.
- 25Use the gliding tip to glide to the vast hill area of Stone Hill.
- 26Go left along the hill to collect three more gems on the edge of the cliff.
- 27Continue ahead until you see a blue thing in the distance.
- 28Approach the Egg Thief on the hills surrounding the biggest low area of the level.
- 29Charge after the Egg Thief, using jumps while charging to speed up. Flame him when close enough to catch him and retrieve the egg.
- 30Continue around the hills until you find a big stone structure.
- 31Jump onto the outer wall to get a green gem.
- 32Collect 4 gems by charging around the inner rim of the stone structure.
- 33Exit the stone structure from the opposite side and go into the clump of trees for a green and red gem.
- 34Find a red gem behind a tree.
- 35Collect two more gems between another two trees.
- 36Collect two green gems, one in a wooden chest.
- 37Exit through the 'Return Home' vortex.
- 38Upon returning to Artisans Home, go into the bushed area and round into Dark Hollow.
- 39In Dark Hollow, go ahead and then right around the platforms to find a Gnorc Rodelero.
- 40When the Gnorc Rodelero covers itself with its shield, charge it; when it is shieldless, flame it quickly before it stabs you.
Tips
- Flame works best against Shepards.
- Jumping while charging speeds you up when chasing the Egg Thief.
- It is easier and safer to flame the Egg Thief when you get close enough rather than trying to charge him until hit.
- An invisible barrier prevents access to the huge landscape.
- Exiting via the START menu can cause problems; use the 'Return Home' vortex.
- The Gnorc Rodelero is a Class C enemy with a shield, making it invulnerable to flame attacks when covered.
- 4 Dragons Freed (total 4/4)
- 1 Dragon Egg Rescued (total 1/1)
