Complete Part 18 of Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, covering Cliff Town gems and dragons, and the entrance to Ice Cavern.
Walkthrough
- 1Glide over to the cliffs in the distance over the river.
- 2To the left, near a cactus, collect 15 gems.
- 3Hug the cliff to find your first Agile Bird (AB). These birds attack from the side. Sneak up behind them or face them directly and flame them when close. This one drops a purple gem.
- 4Grab a green gem in the distance. Note that invisible barriers prevent you from going into the wilderness.
- 5Go left to find another green gem. An AB will start flying; watch it and flame it for a green gem.
- 6Go left to find another AB, which drops a purple gem.
- 7Go slightly left to find a loose green gem.
- 8Turn about 130 degrees right to face another green gem. Run towards it, avoiding ABs, and flame one for another green gem.
- 9Continue forward to sneak up on another AB for a purple gem. Grab the two green gems next to it.
- 10Turn around and run to collect two green gems. Two ABs will attack (not simultaneously); one drops green, the other purple.
- 11From where you glide to the cliffs, follow the wall on the left around, then go straight ahead and up the slope to Marco. He will state you are at the highest point in Cliff Town.
- 12Glide to the building shaped as two squares, the closest one to the left. Destroy the two chests for a golden gem each.
- 13Turn left 90 degrees to face lower buildings. Glide to one for a wooden chest with a golden gem.
- 14Find a firecracker. Flame it to make it shoot. Jump high with a good flame to trigger it, or use the whirlwind below Marco's location to glide over.
- 15The firecracker will smash a strong chest. Head to the area where you found an extra life to find a new whirlwind that takes you back to the top of the big building.
- 16Go right a bit, then jump down to find the strong chest replaced by 25 gems total.
- 17Go back to the whirlwind (the one leading to Marco) but go just left of it. Behind the building is a wooden chest with a green gem.
- 18Head back up the whirlwind. From the highest point of Cliff Town, turn right.
- 19Glide to the lower bit of a tall building nearby. Get the two chests on top for 20 gems.
- 20Turn around and collect 7 gems on top of the building where you found the hidden chest.
- 21Go back up the whirlwind. Go left towards the building you started in, just before the barrier. You'll see two red gems by the side of the building.
- 22Glide to the platform just behind them. Drop down behind the building to find about 7 red gems and a metal chest with a pink gem.
- 23Jump up off the other side and down to get two red gems. Run around the other side of the building to get the two red gems seen earlier.
- 24Go to the top of the big building at the other end, and go straight ahead to find the 'Return Home' vortex by a load of gems.
- 25Charge open the metal chests on the right for 20 gems. Collect the two loose green gems beside them.
- 26Collect gems from the wooden chests on either side of the vortex for 15 gems.
- 27All 400/400 gems are collected.
- 28Exit via the 'Return Home' vortex.
- 29Upon returning to the homeworld, go towards the balloonist and where a dragon was. Behind the dragon platform is a tunnel going down. Go through it to enter Ice Cavern.
