Walkthrough

    After exiting Seashell Shore, Stanley the Seal will greet you and take you to a balloon. Instead of jumping on the balloon, head to the portal that previously required 20 Dragon Eggs and enter it.

    You will arrive at Mushroom Speedway. Sparx will greet you and present two challenge options: Time Trial and Race the Butterflies.

    Select 'Time Trial'. Sparx will explain the tasks: flying through rings, flaming flowers, flaming swinging spiders, and torching butterflies.

    Fly through all 8 rings in a row, collecting 5 gems for each (total 40 gems).

    On the first island, flame flowers #1 and #2 (collecting 10 gems).

    On the next island, flame flowers #3 and #4 (collecting 10 gems).

    Take a right for flower #5 and #6 (collecting 10 gems).

    Take a slight right over the mushroom island for flower #7 (collecting 10 gems).

    Head back towards where flower #3 was and enter the Spider Cave. Flame the spiders as you pass them (collecting 10 gems).

    Fly straight into the other cave to complete the spider task (collecting 10 gems).

    Go to the big mushroom behind where you started and follow the butterflies in the opposite direction. Flame the first 3 butterflies (collecting 25 gems each).

    Flame the next butterfly alone (collecting 25 gems).

    Flame the last four butterflies in a zig-zag pattern (collecting 25 gems each).

    You will see the '400/400' sign and complete the challenge, earning Egg 031/150 (Sabina, Orange, Time attack).

    Select 'Race the Butterflies'. You will race against 5 butterflies, starting in last place.

    Go through EVERY SINGLE RING. Missing a ring will result in an 'OFF COURSE' message and require you to restart.

    Go through the blue stars for a speed boost.

    To slow down opponents, flame a butterfly. You can also hit them with the speed boost.

    Complete 3 laps, finishing in first place to win Egg 032/150 (John, Blue, Race the butterflies).

    To get the final Egg in Mushroom Speedway, select 'Time Attack' again.

    Go to the island where the 7th flower was located and walk up to the mushroom on it.

    Hunter will appear and ask for help with Flying Sheep Saucers. Select 'Uh huh..Uh huh' to help.

    You will enter a saucer as Hunter. Hold down the shoot button (O) and hold X to accelerate.

    Avoid going behind the saucers, as they shoot harmful fireballs, and do not crash into them.

    Aim your shots ahead of the saucers to hit them.

    Destroy all 7 sheep saucers to win Hunter's challenge and earn Egg 033/150 (Tater, White, Hunter's Dogfight).

    Exit Mushroom Speedway.

  • In the Time Trial, the gems collected from rings, flowers, spiders, and butterflies total 400 gems.
  • In the Race the Butterflies challenge, there are 4-5 blue stars that provide a speed boost.
  • In Hunter's Dogfight, pressing Square allows you to turbo.
