Understand SSX 3 board attributes: Speed, Boost, and Tricks. Learn how they affect races and trick events.
Each snowboard in SSX 3 is defined by three basic attributes that influence how it performs:
- Speed: This attribute directly impacts how fast your character can go. A higher Speed attribute results in a higher top speed, allowing for faster descents down the mountain.
- Boost: The Boost attribute affects multiple aspects of your performance. A higher Boost stat means your character builds boost faster from performing tricks, and uses boost slower, making your boost bar last longer and allowing you to maintain higher speeds.
- Tricks: This attribute determines how quickly you can spin and flip. A high Tricks statistic enables your character to perform more tricks, which in turn generates higher scores and, as a consequence, more boost due to the increased number of tricks landed.
For Race events, having high Speed and Boost attributes is most beneficial. Conversely, for Trick events, a high Tricks statistic is the most useful.
Tips
- You can improve specific board attributes by purchasing mods (modifications). Refer to the Perks and Mods section for detailed information on how mods impact performance.
- Consider the event type when choosing or customizing your board. Prioritize Speed and Boost for races, and Tricks for trick-focused events.
