BOARD TYPE

Learn about the four SSX 3 board types: Speed, Rocket, Tricks, and All-Around, and their best uses in racing and trick events.

There are four distinct snowboard types available in the SSX 3 Shop, each with unique stat distributions and best-suited events:

1. Speed Board:

• Stats: High Speed attribute for faster top speed.
• Best For: Racing events.
• Found In: Most often in Race Events.

2. Rocket Board:

• Stats: High Boost statistic, making it easier to fill your boost bar for Tricky and Super Tricky status.
• Best For: Generally good for racing, but also useful in other areas due to boost capabilities.
• Found In: Race and Trick Events.

3. Tricks Board:

• Stats: High Trick stat.
• Best For: Trick Events.
• Found In: Trick events.

4. All-Around Board:

• Stats: Typically features higher stats in two or three categories, but not maxed. For example, an All-Around board for a Race Event might have high average Speed and Boost (around 80) with a low Tricks attribute, or average stats across all categories regardless of event type.
• Best For: Survival Events.
• Found In: Most often in Survival Events.
