Alright, let's talk about the "Cover mercenaries" part of the mission in Clear Sky. This comes up after you've helped Leshiy's stalker squad arrive and they've taken up positions. ### Mission: Cover mercenaries So, Clear Sky is helping out, and now your job is to clear out the Bandits on the other side of the canal. Keep an eye out, there might be a couple hiding in the southern ruins. Once it's clear, the Mercenaries will come down the hill and set up in the northern ruins. This mission, "Cover mercenaries," will then be complete, and you'll get a new objective: "Cover the mercenary near the control panel." ### Mission: Cover the mercenary near the control panel This is where things get a bit tense. The Mercenaries from Leshiy's squad will start heading to the control panel one by one to lower the bridge. Your job is to protect them. Watch out, though – if one gets taken out, another will try to take their place. This continues until they either all die, which fails the mission, or the bridge is lowered. ### Mission: Eliminate the snipers on the hill Keep your ears open! Leshiy will eventually warn you about a sniper on the hill. This is crucial. A Bandit will appear at the very top of the hill and start shooting at the Mercenary near the control panel. If that Mercenary gets killed, you'll get a "Task failed" notification for "Cover the mercenary near the control panel." But don't worry too much, another Mercenary will immediately take their place at the control panel, and you'll get a new task to "Cover the mercenary near the control panel" again. Your main focus here is to take out these snipers. There are usually about five or six of them. Once you've eliminated the last sniper, both the "Eliminate the snipers on the hill" and "Cover the mercenary near the control panel" missions will be marked as complete. After that, the primary task will update to "Help Clear Sky capture the bridge."
