Hey there, Stalker! So, you've picked up a mission from Brome over at the 100 Rads bar to find his lost Storming Obokan. He's a bit shaken up, says he panicked during an expedition to the Dark Valley and left it behind. Don't worry, we'll get this sorted.

This is an optional quest in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, and it can be a bit tricky. The mission marker might send you to the Bandit Base in Dark Valley, but the weapon isn't just lying around there. You're actually looking for an Expert Bandit named Friar, who's usually the one wielding it. The kicker? Friar can wander all over the Zone, so he might not be where you expect.

Pro Tip: It's often easier to tackle this mission *after* you've already found the Storming Obokan. That way, you don't have to go hunting for Friar while the mission timer is ticking.

Where to look for Friar:

• He's often found in the Agroprom Underground after you've cleared it out and spent some time there. If you're using a mod that lets you sleep, just resting in Strelok's hideout for a few hours can sometimes make him appear near the entrance.
• You might get lucky and run into him in the Bandit Base while you're on your way to Borov. If you hear the distinct sound of an Obokan during a firefight there, try to move towards it.
• There's a small chance the weapon could just be dropped somewhere, so keep an eye out.

Important Warning: Friar can be tough, and if you manage to get the Obokan from him, it might be pretty beat up by the time you return it to Brome, especially if you used it yourself. Brome won't mind, though!

If you happen to fail the mission, Brome will offer it again. But if you return the weapon, he'll stop asking for it. You can even get the Storming Obokan back later by trading Brome a better weapon, like an L85A2 (IL 86). Just drop it in front of him, and he'll swap you for his Obokan. Just a heads-up, this trick might not work if you're using mods that change how NPCs handle weapons.
