Mission 7: Protect a Disabled X-Wing

Craft: A-Wing group Red (you - Red 1), X-Wing Blue, CRV Group Tantive

A lone X-Wing carrying vital Alliance data has suffered a hyperdrive failure and is stranded. You must protect it from Imperial gunboats and a sneaky enemy shuttle attempting to capture it.

  1. Charge your shields and prepare for gunboat arrivals.
  2. While you and your wingmen are distracted by gunboats, an enemy shuttle will attempt to capture the disabled X-Wing.
  3. Warning: Prevent the shuttle from docking at all costs. Use missiles if necessary.
  4. If the shuttle docks, blast it away before it succeeds.
  5. After destroying all three shuttles (they arrive one at a time), three corvettes will arrive to provide cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).
  6. Your rescue shuttle will dock, repair the X-Wing, and depart.
  7. Once both craft are safely away, escape quickly as gunboats are too numerous to handle for long.

Mission 8: Stop Hyperdrive Replacement

Craft: X-Wing group Red (you - Red 1), A-Wing group Blue

Objectives: FRT Kian III must be destroyed, FRT Kian V must be destroyed

An Imperial Frigate, the Intrepid, requires a new hyperdrive after an accident. Five freighters are preparing to unload their cargo, two of which carry the necessary hyperdrive hardware. Your task is to destroy these two freighters to strand the Intrepid.

  1. Charge your shields and help destroy the initial fighter screen.
  2. Locate the two freighters carrying the hyperdrive hardware: Kian III and Kian V.
  3. Use lasers on the closest freighter and fire all your torpedoes at the other to destroy them quickly.
  4. Warning: Do not linger or get too close to the Intrepid, as this will trigger the launch of large squadrons of TIE Interceptors.
  5. Destroy the two freighters and hyper home immediately.

Mission 9: Take Out Intrepid's Escort

Craft: Y-Wing group Red (you - Red 1), X-Wing Blue

Objectives: CRV Viper 1 must be destroyed, CRV Viper 2 must be destroyed, CRV Viper 3 must be destroyed, GUN group Tau must be destroyed, GUN group Mu must be destroyed, GUN group Rho must be destroyed

Imperial forces have rallied around the Intrepid to form a defense. You must take out these defenses to leave the Intrepid vulnerable.

  1. Charge your shields as quickly as possible.
  2. Order your wingmen to attack the Corvette furthest from you.
  3. Launch four torpedoes each at the other two corvettes.
