Alright, we're heading into BLOCK 3-1, which the game calls "Limestone Caverns" – some folks also call it "The Caves." First thing's first, just take a second to appreciate the music here. Seriously, it's got a vibe that reminds a lot of people of Chrono Trigger, and you're definitely not alone if you think so!

Okay, focus up! Head forward and keep an eye out for bats – they're pretty standard fare. As you keep moving right, you'll run into a new enemy: the STONE GOLEM. These guys look tough, but here's the trick: whip 'em, and they'll break into two smaller versions. Then, each of those splits into two more! Your job is to take them all down before you move on. After that, you'll face three Bone Pillars in a row. Once they're cleared, the path will open up, showing you a way down.

You absolutely have to go down, but there's a Bone Pillar hiding up to the upper right if you want to take it out. It's guarding a candle that holds an AXE, so grab it if you need it. Now, head down and deal with the Bone Pillar on the left. Instead of just continuing down, though, try heading left towards the wall. You'll see some weird, rock-like squares – destroy them! Be careful, though: you want to destroy both the lower and upper rows at the same time if you can. Doing this opens up a SECRET ROOM packed with candles holding MONEY, HEARTS, and a BIG piece of MEAT. Definitely worth the detour!

Backtrack down to the main path. On the floor, you can go left or right. Going left is only really useful if you want to fight another Bone Pillar or snag some HOLY WATER. Otherwise, head right. You'll encounter more Stone Golems here, so take them out. After that, you'll need to jump over a spike pit using some platforms. A few bats will show up, but their main purpose is to signal that you need to be extra careful now. Rock spikes will start falling from the ceiling, and they even send out shards when they crash. Move forward cautiously! Keep heading right, and soon the scenery will change, signaling the end of this section.
