Story Walkthrough

Upon starting The Lullaby of Life, you will select a difficulty level, which impacts combat damage dealt and received.

The game begins in media res at a bar in Onomichi, where Kiryu gets into a fight and you are introduced to the combat mechanics.

You will then meet Haruto.

The game flashes back to the end of Yakuza 5, showing its final scenes and the immediate aftermath, leading to Kiryu going to jail for several years.

Most of this sequence consists of cutscenes, but you will briefly control Kiryu during a vision quest.

In the vision quest, approach people important to Kiryu's life to receive recaps of who they are and their significance.

To proceed, walk into the light to advance the cutscenes to the first actual chapter.
