When you first start Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, you can select a game difficulty. Three levels of difficulty are available by default: Easy, recommended for those who want to casually enjoy the game; Normal, recommended for those who are playing the game for the first time; and Hard, recommended for those who are confident in playing RPGs.
There are two more levels of difficulty: Friendly and Lunatic. Friendly difficulty unlocks after you are game over while playing at Easy difficulty. Lunatic difficulty unlocks after you finish the game for the first time.
