Learn how to handle Intermissions in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. Discover requests, side stories, and how to increase stage rank to progress the main story.

Alright, so after each major story chapter in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, you'll hit a period called an Intermission. Think of it as a breather where you can chill out and do some extra stuff before diving back into the main plot. Nothing super critical happens story-wise during these breaks, but there are definitely some worthwhile activities you can tackle.

The main things you'll be doing during an Intermission are taking on Requests and diving into Side Stories. You can also just decide you're ready to move on and end the Intermission whenever you want by heading to the Uzume Lesson Studio.

Requests

Keep an eye out while you're exploring the city or any dungeons. If you spot a character with a yellow exclamation mark icon above their head, that means they have a Request for you. Chatting with them will let you accept the task. Completing these requests nets you some nice rewards, so it's always a good idea to grab them when you see them, especially since they don't have any deadlines. You can check their status on your map – they'll show up as green icons while you're working on them, and turn purple once you've met the conditions. Just talk to the character again when it's purple to turn it in!

Side Stories

These are super important because they focus on the personal stories of your cast members and help you deepen your bonds with them. Itsuki plays a key role here, supporting his friends in their showbiz careers. Side Stories usually kick off when a cast member's Stage Rank reaches a certain level, and they'll send you an invitation via Topic. Seriously, don't skip these! You can actually get new skills from Side Stories that will be really helpful both in and out of battle, making your investigations and fights a lot easier.

Increasing Stage Rank

Right now, especially early in the game like during Chapter 1's intermission, you might not have many cast members available for Side Stories. The guide suggests focusing on Touma for now. Use him in combat and work on increasing his Stage Rank. This is often the key to unlocking more Side Stories as you progress.

Ending an Intermission

Whenever you feel like you've done all you want to do during the Intermission, or you're just ready to get back to the main story, simply head over to the Uzume Lesson Studio. Walking in there will officially end the Intermission and kick off the next chapter. There's no rush, so take your time and do what you want before you proceed!
