How to Beat The Shard Weaver

Defeat The Shard Weaver in Voidtrain by countering its Void Shards and summoned constructs. Adapt your train defense to survive this crystalline anomaly boss.

The Shard Weaver is a large, crystalline entity that manipulates Void Shards, often encountered in deep Void anomalies or ancient mining facilities. It's a stationary or slow-moving boss that relies on area denial and summoned constructs.

Phases & Attacks:

1. Phase 1 (Shard Barrage): The Weaver will launch volleys of sharp Void Shards at your train and player. It also creates small, temporary Shard Spikes on the ground that deal damage if touched.
2. Phase 2 (Summoning & Shield): At 70% health, the Weaver will summon Shard Golems (slow, heavily armored constructs) and generate a temporary Crystalline Shield around itself, making it immune to damage. You must destroy the Golems to break the shield.
3. Phase 3 (Void Resonance): Below 40% health, the Weaver begins to emit a powerful Void Resonance, causing continuous damage to anything within its radius. It will also increase the frequency of Shard Barrages and summon more Golems.

Weaknesses:

• Energy Weapons: Laser turrets and energy weapons (e.g., Energy Sword) deal bonus damage to its crystalline structure.
• Explosives: Effective against Shard Golems and for breaking the Crystalline Shield quickly.
• Core (Exposed): During certain attacks or after its shield breaks, a glowing core might be exposed, which is a critical weak point.

Strategy:

• Train Defense: Prioritize laser turrets for consistent damage. Rocket turrets are good for Golems. Ensure your train has good armor to withstand the Shard Barrage and Void Resonance.
• Player Combat: Focus on the Shard Weaver's core when exposed. Use an SMG or Assault Rifle for sustained fire. When Golems appear, switch to explosives or a shotgun.
• Shield Management: When the Crystalline Shield is up, immediately switch focus to the Shard Golems. Don't waste ammo on the shielded Weaver.
• Void Resonance: During Phase 3, try to stay at the edge of the Resonance radius or use healing items to mitigate damage.
