1. Collect 2 x Scrap Metal and 2 x Wood from the Void.
2. Build a Research Table on your train.
3. Research the "Smelter I" technology using resources from the Void.
4. Build Smelter I.
5. Smelt an Iron Bar in Smelter I.

Basics

1. Research and build "Container I" using the Research Table.
2. Research and build "Workbench I" using the Research Table.
3. Complete Technology Stage 2 by finishing main technologies.
