The Void Compass, now upgraded or recalibrated, will point you towards an 'Old Outpost'. These outposts are usually larger, more complex structures than the simple islands you've encountered before. They often contain remnants of previous expeditions, including abandoned train parts, advanced crafting stations, and valuable data logs. Be prepared for more formidable enemies, such as Automated Sentries or larger Void Beasts. The outpost might also have environmental traps or locked doors requiring specific keycards or power restoration.
