Investigate 'The Mysterious Object' in X4: Foundations by scanning its components and retrieving an artifact from within.

Once in the new sector, you'll find a large, derelict station or object. Approach it and use your short-range scanner (Shift+2, tap) to scan its various components. You'll need to find specific scan points, often highlighted in blue. This process might require you to fly around the object extensively. Once all points are scanned, you'll receive a new objective to retrieve an artifact from within the object. Dock if possible, or use your spacesuit if necessary.
