Learn how to improve Kiryu's stats and unlock new abilities in Yakuza Kiwami 2. Discover the different experience types and their costs for base stats and battle skills.

In Yakuza Kiwami 2, character progression is handled through five colored experience types: Red (Strength), Blue (Agility), Yellow (Spirit), and Green (Technique), and Purple (Charm). These experience points are earned through various activities like combat, eating, playing minigames, completing substories, and earning completion awards. Experience can be used to directly improve base stats or learn new skills.

Base Stats

Your four base stats are Health, Attack, Defense, and Heat Gauge. Each stat can be improved by applying experience points. Initially, you'll fill ten markers at a set experience cost. After reaching a certain point, you'll need to purchase 'Limit Level' upgrades to reset the bar and continue increasing the stat at a higher cost. Each upgrade adds two points to the stat. This process continues until all four base stats reach Lv. 4 (200 points). Once all stats are at 200, 'Limit Break' upgrades become available, increasing each stat by ten points per upgrade.

The costs for boosting base stats and purchasing Limit Levels are detailed in the table below:
