Sulphur Pods in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora can be tricky to locate as they don't appear on specific tree types identifiable with Na’vi sense. Unlike other materials, "great trees" that yield Sulphur Pods aren't always the largest and can't be spotted from afar. This guide will help you find and farm them efficiently.

1. What is a "Great Tree"?

   A "great tree" is not defined by size. Some small trees may have Sulphur Pods, while large trees might not. You cannot identify them using Na’vi sense directly.

2. Best Biomes for Sulphur Pods

   The Kinglor Forest is the primary area to find Sulphur Pods. Focus on the Great Roots and Rainforest biomes, which have the highest density of suitable trees. While they can be found in other Kinglor Forest biomes like Bamboo Grove, Big Leaf, Wild Vines, Thorny Wilds, and Swamp Lowlands, the yield is lower. Finding them in the Upper Plains or Clouded Forest is extremely rare.

3. Prime Harvesting Location

   The area around Hometree, the Aranahe Clan Home in the center of Kinglor Forest, is the best spot. Specifically, the trees directly to the east of Hometree offer the greatest abundance. Avoid venturing too deep into the Bamboo Grove biome in this area.

4. How to Find and Harvest
   1. Pin the Item: Open your Hunter’s Guide, find Sulphur Pods, and pin them. This will highlight any Sulphur Pods you scan with your Na’vi sense in yellow.
   2. Scan Trees: Use your Na’vi sense to scan trees in the identified biomes.
   3. Identify by Climbing: Sulphur Pod trees have climbable trunks. If you can jump on branches to ascend, it's likely a Sulphur Pod tree.
   4. Harvest: Once identified, climb the tree to reach and harvest the pods, which can be found along the entire trunk.
5. Uses for Sulphur Pods

   Sulphur Pods are primarily used for crafting explosive arrow types:

   • Grenade Arrows: Crafted using bows that can fire special arrows, like the early-game Nimble Longbow. These deal massive damage to groups or AMP mechs.
   • Stink Satchels: Crafted for the Sling. These are crowd-control items that deal damage over time, cloud enemy vision, and disorient them.
