Alright, let's get this mission, "The Setup," sorted. This is actually your first real boss fight in the game, so pay attention! It kicks off right after Jimmy gets a lecture from Dr. Crabblesnitch about fighting. Jimmy tries to explain it's just the school's bully problem, but Dr. Crabblesnitch is all about 'school spirit' and how things were back in his day. After that chat, Davis shows up, calls Jimmy a teacher's pet, and starts shooting at you with his slingshot. You gotta chase him down, so don't let him get away! Davis will lead you behind the school, where he knocks Pete over. Pete points you towards the Auto Repair Shop. Outside the gates, you'll run into Wade. The game will show you how to shove him into a trashcan, but honestly, you can just fight him normally if you prefer. Once Wade's dealt with, you need to open the gates. Then, it's a bit of a chase through the shop's buildings and parking lots. You'll have to fend off Trent, Ethan, Tom, and Wade again. Davis will climb onto a scrap wood platform and kick the ladder down, so you can't follow him easily. Now for the boss fight with Davis. He's got a big health bar, so he definitely feels like a boss. He'll be shooting at you with his slingshot. The best advice here is to keep your distance and run around to dodge his shots. The closer you are, the harder they are to avoid. If you grab a garbage can lid, you can use it to block his shots, which is super helpful. To beat him, you need to knock him off the platform. You can throw loose bricks or garbage can lids at him. Three hits with those should do it. If you have firecrackers, two of those will also work. Once he falls, Jimmy takes his slingshot. Easy peasy! Just a heads-up: Don't let Davis escape at any point, or you'll have to restart the mission. Also, if you interact with Pete instead of chasing Davis right away, you'll fail the mission, though Pete will continue his free-roam stuff for a bit. After this mission, a shortcut between the school parking lot and the Auto Shop opens up, which is handy.
