The Setup Four years have passed since the KVA's attacks, and the world is still dealing with the fallout. Keep an ear out for what Gideon and Joker are saying; they'll give you the rundown on the KVA's persistence. Navigating Detroit You'll be riding hoverbikes with Torres, Joker, Mitchell, and Gideon through the ruined city. You'll split up to check out a building. When you and Gideon go into the school, be ready for things to go south quickly. You'll fall through a broken floor and lose your weapon. This is a good time to practice your stealth – you'll need to take out two enemy troops quietly. Try to get the drop on them before they spot you. After regrouping, you'll push forward. There's a part where you'll need to move a van to create cover for the team. Make sure you get it positioned right to help everyone advance. The Capture and Escape Inside the building, you'll manage to capture Dr. Pierre Danois. You'll have a brief encounter with the Sentinels, who will then let you go. But don't get too comfortable – the remaining KVA forces are alerted and will chase you back to the camp. A chopper will be sent after you, so be prepared. Luckily, friendly ASTs (that's the big robotic suits, like the XS1 Goliath) will take out the chopper just as you get back to safety and the entrance seals. Loadout and Weapons For this mission, your Exo Type is Specialist, giving you access to the Riot Shield, Overdrive, and Stim. Your starting weapon is the Bal-27 with a Hybrid Sight, Suppressor, and Flashlight. Keep an eye out for other weapons you can pick up in the level, like the AK12, ARX-160, MK14 (on PC and next-gen), NA-45, MORS, and PDW. The MORS is a pretty powerful sniper rifle, so if you see it, consider grabbing it. Just stick with the team, follow orders, and you'll get through this one.
