Usage Tips:

This weapon is ideal for large, open levels such as Rhine Valley. Use it similarly to the M1 Garand, but prioritize firing from cover and preferably while prone, as the scope's movement while aiming makes it difficult to use while moving. A common tactic is to position yourself near the enemy spawn to pick off targets, then relocate to another vantage point. Pairing it with an SMG as a sidearm can provide protection in close-quarters combat while maintaining a long-range advantage. Be aware of enemies using binoculars to spot you, as they will prioritize eliminating you.

When forced to fire while moving, shoot and immediately seek cover until you are ready to fire again. This advice also applies to the Kar98k with a scope. Avoid using the Springfield in close-quarters levels or indoors. It is well-suited for older Call of Duty levels like Depot, Hurtgen, and sometimes Dawnville, as well as Foy in CTF and Base-Assault game modes.
