Learn how to navigate Code Vein's dungeons, utilize Mistles for checkpoints and fast travel, manage your gifts, and prepare your character for exploration and combat.

Mistles serve as vital checkpoints throughout Code Vein's dungeons. Resting at a Mistle restores HP, Ichor, and refills your regens. Activating or purifying them maps the surrounding area, and the game autosaves upon use. Dying will respawn you at the last Mistle you rested at. Note that resting or reviving at a Mistle respawns all previously defeated enemies.

Leveling up at a Mistle allows you to spend Haze to increase your stats, which slightly boosts HP, Stamina, Ichor, and weapon/gift effectiveness based on your equipped Blood Code. The maximum level is 300.

You can acquire and inherit gifts (spells and magic) from different Blood Codes by spending Haze and using 'Awake' materials found in dungeons or from enemy drops. This allows for greater build customization.

Mistles also function as teleport points, enabling fast travel between any discovered Mistle within a location or to entirely different areas, including your base.

From a Mistle, you can also switch your combat partner (more allies join as you progress) and check the presents they give you. Presents are obtained by giving allies valuables and can be sold for Haze.

The Mistle menu also allows you to replay the tutorial and return to the title screen.

Camp Menu

The Camp menu is your hub for character and build customization. Here you can check your status, set your Blood Code, equip Passive Gifts (4 slots) and non-passive Gifts (8 slots), and assign items to your quick select menu for use during exploration. You can also equip your main and sub-weapons, and your Blood Veil.

The top directory of the menu provides access to your overall stats, inventory, quick menu settings, multiplayer options, medals, titles, gestures, hints, and general game settings.

Dungeon Exploration Flow

Dungeon exploration involves progressing through paths, defeating enemies for Haze, and collecting items from the environment, chests, or enemy drops. Activating Mistles maps explored areas. Gameplay often includes environmental interactions like dropping down ledges, climbing ladders, and opening doors.

After defeating a dungeon boss, you return to base to take on side quests in previously explored areas before moving to the next dungeon. Mistles facilitate easy travel between dungeons and the base for restocking or resting. Depth maps are also available and can be accessed from the base.
