Code Vein Provisional Government Center walkthrough for Act 2, Chapter 9. Includes guide for Dominic's quest and Attendant of the relics boss.
Walkthrough
- 1Start from the mistle (a type of checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death)). Be aware of silva guards and enemies playing dead; attack any bodies you see. Dodge walls with holes as tentacles will attack.
- 2Take the east route from the mistle. Follow the linear path, collecting items and defeating enemies, until you reach a fork. One path leads to a bridge, the other to a dead end with Dominic, who offers a side quest to collect items.
- 3Continue west across the bridge to a large open room. Destroy the boxes to reveal three paths. The one closest to your entry point leads to a dead end with a mark of honor (a collectible).
- 4Take the ladder down. Follow the path to the right to purify a mistle and open a door back to the start point.
- 5Go back to the ladder and take the left path. Destroy boxes to find a locked door, various items, one of Dominic's quest items, and a path to a ladder.
- 6Climb this ladder to find the last depths map (a collectible).
- 7Return to the first ladder and go back up. Continue down the remaining path.
- 8Follow the path to an open space. Deal with enemies and items, then go up the stairs to the northeast.
- 9Follow the path to a fork. Go left, break boxes, and collect another quest item. You will find a ladder to lower.
- 10Go down this ladder. Follow the path until another fork. Go left and open a door to return to the start point. (The left side of this fork is mostly items and can be explored separately).
- 11With the new shortcut open, return to the first fork before you went down the ladder and take the other path.
- 12Follow this mostly linear path, fighting enemies and grabbing items, until you reach a room with a fork. Enemies are on ledges above. The path ahead leads to stairs to that area. The other path is a dead end with items.
- 13Go up the stairs and follow the linear path onwards.
- 14Reach a fork: one path goes down stairs, the other goes straight. Go straight first to activate a mistle.
- 15Take the other path for a boss battle against the Attendant of the relics. This boss uses Io's moveset and buffs; a two-handed sword build is effective.
- 16Continue past the boss into a hallway with rooms. One room contains a chest accessible by jumping down a ledge and climbing a ladder.
- 17Reach the end of the hall for an elevator and another Attendant who can restore vestiges (items that heal you).
- 18Destroy boxes and tubes in the room to find the last quest item for Dominic. Two new pathways will open.
- 19Take the right path first to a bridge. Before going down the ladder onto the bridge, a vestige can be found to your left.
- 20Cross the bridge, go up the ladder, purify a corrupt mistle, and open a door, creating a new shortcut.
- 21Take the path to the left of the elevator to fight a non-boss version of Argent Wolf. It has a similar moveset and high health but is not as strong as the boss version. Defeating it grants a regen upgrade.
- 22Advance further on this path to purify the last mistle in the area.
- 23Return to Dominic and submit the quest items.
- 24Head down the elevator to the next area.
- 25Advance forward for a cutscene (a story event).
- 26Enter the final area, activate the mistle, and return to base for pre-final boss preparation.
- 27This is also a good time to complete the last depths map.
