Alright, so you've heard about the Hellfire Knight update for Code Vein and you're ready to jump in! First things first, make sure the DLC is actually activated. You'll usually see a little pop-up notification on the title menu if it's good to go.

Once that's confirmed, you'll need to head into the game world. Make your way past the Mido boss arena and find the staircase that leads up to the Provisional Government. Look for a door adorned with wings – that's your gateway. Inside, you'll discover a new Vestige, which is super important because it holds the Vestige core for the brand new Ascelpius Blood Code. You'll also snag a Depths map while you're there.

After grabbing those goodies, head back and chat with Davis. He's the one who'll officially let you into the new area. Don't stress too much about the area itself; it's not massive or overly complex. Your main goal is to take down the sub-bosses scattered throughout, which will then unlock the path to the main boss. Of course, don't forget to pick up any other vestiges you stumble upon!

Now, about the Hellfire Knight boss itself. If you've played God Eater, you might find it a bit reminiscent of Hannibal, but don't let that fool you – this guy is still a serious challenge in Code Vein, possibly even tougher than the final boss of the base game. It's a real pain in the butt! However, the good news is that once you start memorizing its attack patterns, it becomes surprisingly manageable. That's where the real fun begins, though!

After you've dealt with the boss, you'll find new challenges waiting for you. You can access these challenges from the sword located just before the boss room. Successfully completing the conditions for these challenges will reward you with more vestiges, specifically for the Surt Blood Code. You'll also unlock cool costumes for both Eva and Louis, along with some other neat accessories and weapons. Plus, you can even adjust the difficulty for these challenges, which is a nice touch.
