Alright, let's talk about taking Bombsite B. This is a pretty key area, and if you're playing as the Counter-Terrorists (CTs), you've got a few ways to defend it. The Terrorists (Ts) usually have one main route in, which is this twisty alley called 'Banana'. It's called that because, well, it looks like one. While Ts *could* technically come in from CT spawn or Construction, that usually means they've already got a good chunk of the map, so we'll focus on the Banana push.

Let's switch gears and look at this from the CT side first. A lot of the T strategy for Banana involves just slowly pushing up and hoping for a lucky shot through smoke. As a CT guarding Banana, you get to decide how much work you want the Ts to do. This is where smoke grenades come in clutch. Passive defenders should smoke off the very end of Banana, right where it opens up to the bombsite. More aggressive players might smoke the bottom of Banana to cut off their approach earlier. However, the most common play is to smoke the top of Banana. This gives you the solid cover of the 'Car' and the 'Mortar' stack, letting you hold your ground and delay those T pushes for as long as possible.

Eventually, you'll run out of smokes and have to actually defend the site itself. There are a few spots you can hold. The 'yellow crates' on site are pretty popular – they're called 'First' and 'Second Oranges', with First being closer to CT spawn. Just be aware that at higher levels of play, these are easily hit with Molotovs, so they might not be the safest bet. The 'Porch' area across from the site can be good if you hug the wall as the Ts start to push in. If you've got some slick movement skills, you can even use the 'Fountain' on site to be a real pain for attackers. Further back on the site, CTs can make a stand using the wooden 'Spools' you can get to via Construction, or hide out near 'Newbox' and 'Emo' under the archways.
