In-Game Leader

Learn the In-Game Leader (IGL) role in Counter-Strike: Source. The IGL is the team's strat caller, deciding attacks, defenses, and buys.

The IGL is responsible for determining how the team should coordinate their attacks and defenses. They make calls on the fly, adjusting strategies based on how initial decisions play out. Key responsibilities include deciding how the team should buy equipment (buy up), where players should position themselves, and what actions to take in emergency situations.

You'd be a good IGL if:

• You are familiar with the map you are playing on and understand its basic strategies.
• You can maintain composure and calmly instruct your team, even during high-pressure moments.
• You naturally influence your teammates' actions through your communication.
