How to Defeat The Leviathan Remnant Boss in Dead Space Remake

Alright, you've made it to Chapter 8 and the Communications Hub. Your objective is to 'Deploy The Antenna.' Before you head outside for what's next, make sure to hit that save point. You're about to face the Leviathan Remnant, and while this fight is a bit more manageable than some others, it's still a tough one. Luckily, you've got some serious firepower on your side this time: three ADS cannons strategically placed around the platform.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak Point: Armored sacks on the Leviathan Remnant.
• Primary Threat: Tentacle sweeps and explosive mines.
• Player Advantage: Three ADS cannons for offense, multiple oxygen refill stations.

Phases:

1. Destroy the first armored sack using the center ADS cannon.
2. Destroy the second armored sack using the left ADS cannon.
3. Destroy the third armored sack using the right ADS cannon.

Strategy:

• First off, as soon as you step outside, you'll notice your oxygen is ticking down. Don't panic! There are oxygen refill stations dotted around the platform. Keep an eye on your O2 levels and use them whenever you're running low.
• Head to the center ADS cannon. To interact with it, press on PlayStation or on Xbox. Once you've got it aimed – just like you would with any other weapon using or – it's time to fire. Press or to activate the cannon.
• Your target is the armored sack on the Leviathan Remnant. It'll take about 10-12 shots to break. While you're blasting away, keep your eyes peeled and your movement sharp. The Leviathan will be lashing out with its tentacles, so you'll need to stay mobile to dodge them.
• Once that first sack is history, refill your oxygen, and make a break for the cannon on the left side of the platform.
• As you move, watch out for the Leviathan's tentacle sweeps. You'll need to adjust your position, moving up or down the platform to avoid getting hit.
• Use the left cannon just like you did the center one – aim for the armored sack and keep dodging those tentacles. If you find yourself unable to dodge an incoming explosive sack, try using Kinesis to throw it back at the boss!
• After destroying the second sack, top up your oxygen again and hustle over to the cannon on the right side of the platform.
• Again, you'll need to dodge the tentacle sweeps. As you make your way to the final cannon, the Leviathan will start launching a barrage of mines. They don't move, so just keep your distance. Make sure you're not too close to any mines and are at the right height to avoid the tentacle sweep.
• Finally, use the right cannon to blast away at the last armored sack. Keep dodging its attacks, and once that final sack is destroyed, the Leviathan Remnant will finally be defeated! You've earned it.
