You can find a total of 80 Mini Medals scattered throughout the world in dragon quest i and ii hd 2d remake. These can be hidden in various containers like barrels, pots, and chests, and some require thorough investigation of an area. Later in the game, the abilities Nose for Treasure and Snoop can assist in locating these hidden treasures.

You can collect your first Mini Medal early in the game, but you cannot exchange them for rewards until you obtain the boat from Rippleport. This allows you to travel to the Isle of the Monarch of Medals, located on an island west of Oasis.

1. Midenhall Castle 1F - Search in front of the statue on the left side in the Church.
2. Midenhall - Inside treasure chest in house in southeastern corner.
3. Secret Area (World Map) - Just west of the poison swamp to the west of Midenhall; Inside the bag on the tree.
4. Leftwyne (Weapon Shop) 2F - Check flowers box in southeast corner of the second floor.
5. Secret Area (World Map) - Southwest of Cannock, in the desert area. Check the northwest barrel for the Mini Medal.
6. Cannock - Inside eastern house, found in the cabinet there.
7. Cannock Castle B1 - Go into the prison area and search the barrel in the lower left corner.
8. Secret Area (World Map) - On SW side of mountains to the west of Gwaelin’s Gate/SE of Dreamer’s Lake; Inside a barrel.
9. Cave of the Lake B2 - Inside a pot in northwestern corner.
10. Gwaelin’s Gate Underground Passage - Inside a barrel in a small storage area in the center.
11. Moonahan - Inside barrel by town exit to the north of the church.
12. Moonbrooke 1F - On the ground by the broken window in the north-central part.
13. Secret Area (World Map) - Southwest of the Swamp Shrine, inside the chest.
14. Shipwright’s Shrine - Chest (Thief’s Key required) on the left side of the main building.
15. Pillar of the Winds 2F - In pot near northeast corner (lower area).
16. Pillar of the Winds 7F - Take southeastern set of stairs, then look in the barrel.
17. Shrine West of Moonbrooke - In pot by northern stairs and the Magic Key door.
18. Oasis - On southern side of the two large rocks next to one another.
19. Dragon’s Horn (South) 6F - In the center of the floor.

30. Tantegel Castle 2F - Go up stairs on west side of 1F (north of Ultimate Key door); In a pot in the southeast room.
31. Erdrick’s Hollow B2 - Behind the monument at the end.
32. Kol - Inside the well, on the ground on the east side.
33. Rimuldar - Inside pot in the downstairs room of the building with the church.
34. Sanctum - Building surrounded by mountains to the south of Rimuldar; Examine the small monument to the left of the waterfall.
35. Dragonlord’s Castle 1F - Check the metal plate on the floor in the northwestern corner.
36. Secret Spot (World Map) - Southeast of Damdara; Check slightly west of the palm tree near the rocks.
37. Cantlin - Inside the bank building in the northwest corner; 1F, right underneath the stuffed head.
