Navigating Floor B1 of The Hexagon in Dragon Quest IX. Learn about monsters like Slime, Dracky, and the boss Hexagoon, plus treasure locations and poisonous marshes.
Floor B1 Guide
Alright, so you've made it to Floor B1 of The Hexagon. It's a bit of a maze down here, and you'll want to keep an eye out for a few things. First off, this place is known for its poisonous marshes, so be ready for that. You might also run into some familiar faces, like the pesky Slime and the ever-chirpy Dracky. Keep an eye out for Bodkin archers, Bag o' laughs, Mecha-mynahs, Firespirits, and Spirits too. They're not too tough, but they can add up!
The real challenge on this floor, though, is the boss monster: Hexagoon. This guy is a real brute, a hideous hulk that used to patrol these parts. He's got a nasty ground attack that can hit your whole party, so make sure you're healed up and ready to defend. He drops 100 G and a Magic beast hide 100% of the time, so it's worth the fight!
As for treasure, you'll find a Leather shield, a Feather fan, 210 gold pieces, and a Seed of deftness scattered around. If you're coming from Western Stornway, you can also snag some Scale armour. Just watch your step, especially around those poisonous marshes!
