Learn how to interrupt the Gazer's ritual in Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage to deal massive damage and find Macabre Sculpture #13.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
When the Gazer sends tentacles to the southern end of the arena to perform a ritual, shoot beams and create a Sauron-like eye effect.
  2. 2
Destroy the tentacles participating in the ritual.
  3. 3
The eye will float down, allowing you to release multiple bolts of energy by striking it, similar to the Magick Cannon skill.
  4. 4
Interrupting the ritual staggers the Gazer, enabling you to deal massive damage.
Tips
  • The Gazer will not respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) during your first run-through of Bitterblack Isle. After completing the dungeon once, it will respawn like any other foe.
  • After defeating the Gazer, a gate opens to continue deeper into Bitterblack Isle. Before proceeding, loot the area.
  • On the ramp, find three rounded chests: one at about 1:00 before a large tree root, one east of the stairs to the arena floor, and another at the end of the ramp.
  • The ramp and ground floor contain various herbs and mushrooms.
  • Amidst the rubble south of the stairs, find a round chest and a square chest.
  • Further south, at about 5:30, find another square chest.
  • Continue clockwise around the edge of the level. Between some pillars, find two rounded chests (at about 8:00).
  • Continue clockwise to find another square chest (10:00).
  • A stone shape on the ground (visible on the map and minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) is a circle with three lines. Search the perimeter of the circle just north of the western-most 'ray' to find Macabre Sculpture #13 hidden in the grass.
  • Head down stairs to the north to find a door leading deeper into Bitterblack Isle.
  • From the entrance of the Corridor of Emptiness, head north-east to a gated door to the east.
  • Turn west and scale rocks to find a corpse. Near it are Corpse Nettles and Macabre Sculpture #14.
  • Climb back down east, ignore the gate, and continue north to find Barroch.
  • Down stairs to the east near a dock is a square chest.
  • North-west of Barroch, stairs lead down.
  • Return to the previously ignored gate to the east. Through it, find a "Recollection of another Arisen" tablet and a Riftstone (5000 RC).
  • Continue up stairs east to find a door to the surface.
  • Outside, flip a lever to open the gate, creating the first shortcut to the depths of Bitterblack Isle.
  • To collect a quest, ensure you have ten Macabre Sculptures in your inventory (not your stash) by the time you speak to Olra to prepare for the Central Stratum.
  • You should also have "Recollections of another Arisen" #1, which can be viewed at the Monument of Remembrance.
  • If you have a Moonbeam Gem, claim a treasure from Duskmoon Tower. Consider obtaining a Level 2 weapon if you haven't already.
  • Bitterblack Weapons Lv.2 can be farmed from the Prisoner Gorecyclops in the Midnight Helix.
