How to Defeat the Blizzard Brothers

Alright, so you've made it to the Blizzard Brothers! They're the third official boss in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, and while they look a bit intimidating with their two heads, they're not too bad once you get the hang of their moves. You'll first run into them during Main Quest 19: The Humongous Lens, up on Snowpeak. Don't worry about finding them again right away; they won't respawn until later in the main story, so if you don't see them after your first victory, your game isn't broken!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Health: Single shared health bar for both heads.
• Weaknesses: Not specified, but hitting either head damages the shared bar.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Standard Attacks
   Both heads attack independently, and they can summon adds.

Strategy:

• Dodging Left Head's Projectiles: The left head shoots ice projectiles that track your initial position. Just keep moving, and you'll easily dodge these. If you're far away when it starts, you can even move to the opposite side of the screen to be safe.
• Avoiding Right Head's Ice Breath: When the right head swells up, it's about to breathe cold air onto the ground, covering it in ice. You absolutely cannot touch the ground during this attack, or you'll take damage. This attack lasts longer than your single air dash with CJ, so you can't just stay airborne using that.
• Using Link Attacks: The best way to deal with the ground-ice attack is to initiate a Link Attack on the boss while the ground is covered. This gives you enough time to wait out the attack without taking damage. Try to save your Link Attacks for this specific situation!
• Dealing with Adds: The brothers can summon regular Snowpeak enemies into the fight. You'll know they're coming when you see either head do a sound shockwave. Keep an eye on both sides of the screen and be ready to deal with these extra foes.
