How to Defeat the Lode Golem Boss

Alright, so you've made it to the Lode Golem, the second boss in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. Don't worry, it looks tougher than it is! This guide will walk you through exactly how to take it down.

Where to Find the Lode Golem

You'll find this big guy in The Quarry as part of Main Quest 8. Since there's no signpost nearby, you'll have to make your way from the start of the Quarry. Head through the first pit, then go right. Drop down the next pit into the area with Glowshrooms. Keep going right until you hit a big rock that needs Garoo to break. In the room with four exits, take the bottom-right one – that's your boss arena.

How to Defeat the Lode Golem Boss

The Lode Golem has a bit of a shield, and unlike the Hollow Plant, it won't just show you its weak spot. You've gotta work for it! You can chip away at its armor by just hitting it, but there's a much smarter way to speed things up.

Keep an eye out for when the Lode Golem launches a piece of its arm at you. When it does, use Garoo's sword attack to hit that projectile back at the boss. This is super effective and will knock down a good chunk of its shield meter.

It also has an attack where it kind of bows down, causing boulders to fall from the ceiling. These rocks have a clear red line showing where they'll land. Just like the arm piece, you can hit these falling rocks back at the Golem to damage its shield.

Once you manage to deplete its shield meter, the Golem will fall over, exposing its giant crystal weak spot. Go all out on it! Just know that it'll probably get back up, so you'll need to break its shield again. Keep repeating this process, and once you land the final blow, you'll be victorious!
