Poison and Lies

Complete walkthrough for the Poison and Lies quest in Ghost of Yotei. Learn how to solve the Tree Brazier, Bridge, Lantern Trap, and Conforming Foxes puzzles.

Walkthrough:

1. Infiltrate Sentinel Forest: Head to Sentinel Forest Camp and meet Oyuki on a ledge. Spy on the camp, then proceed to a weak section of the palisade. Let Oyuki distract a guard and sneak through.
2. Tree Brazier Puzzle: Advance through the forest to a tree with a pedestal featuring three fox statues (two lying, one howling). Light the stone lanterns surrounding the tree with a torch from the brazier. Match the lantern-fox statues to the poses on the pedestal: Lying Fox, Sitting Fox, Lying Fox, Howling Fox, Paw-raised Fox. Light the lanterns with Lying Foxes and the Howling Fox to progress.
3. Bridge Puzzle: After defeating Nine Tails near a bridge, find three fox statues (lying, sitting, paw-raised). The clues for their orientation are: Paw-raised Fox (left symbol) in an alcove to the right, Sitting Fox (forward symbol) across the bridge to the right, and Lying Fox (right symbol) under the bridge. Set the statues: Lying Fox faces right, Sitting Fox faces forward (away from the bridge), Paw-raised Fox faces left.
4. First Lantern Trap Puzzle: Follow Oyuki through a lantern-lined forest path. Note the symbols on the central pedestal (“death” and “left”) and a broken stone (“death” and “right”). Oyuki will guide you through the safe paths, generally to the right initially, then zig-zagging.
5. Conforming Foxes Door Puzzle: At a sealed door, move the two fox statues nearest the door. Swap the left statue with the right statue. Ensure both pairs of statues face the door to open it.
