The Kitsune's Fate

Search the Red Crane Inn: Return to the Red Crane Inn for a scene. Examine vomit, a corpse, and blood-writing. Use "Listen" upstairs to find a hidden figure. Go to the second room on the left to trigger a scene and start the quest. Leave the inn and follow Oyuki to a cave near a frozen waterfall. Use your grapple to remove an obstruction and enter the Kitsune's demesne.

Cast Light Lantern Puzzle: In the chamber beyond the obstruction, you'll find a sealed door with two fox statues. Light the blue lanterns on each statue. Note the symbols at their bases: "left" for the left statue and "right" for the right statue. Oyuki will suggest teamwork. Rotate the statues so they both face the correct location simultaneously.

Ambush the Nine Tails: After the puzzle, head upstairs. Oyuki will point out a secret passage to the left. Take this passage to reach the chamber behind the Nine Tails enemies. Use "Listen" to scout them and assassinate them with Oyuki. Search the chamber for scrolls and a map. Find the "up" symbol on the wall to boost Oyuki up, then climb the ladder she knocks down. Head up a ramp, through a door marked "engage" and "forward," climb a ledge, and slide through a cleft to an outdoor area.

The Gauntlet: Outside, Nine Tails will emerge from snow banks, and archers will attack from trees. Defeat them, then proceed through stairs and doors into a long, frozen hallway filled with numerous Nine Tails. Fight your way through to reach The Kitsune's lair.

Defeat The Kitsune: This is a multi-phase boss fight. In the first phase, The Kitsune wields a kusarigama. Use "Listen" when he uses smoke bombs to anticipate his attacks. He may switch to a sword and shield. When near death, he will flee. Chase him to start phase two. The second phase is easier with Oyuki's assistance. Focus on breaking his guard or parrying his attacks.
