    SAVE and travel from WTSA to WTSH. Proceed to FW#3. Engage in 2H combat. Grab the second Medical Droid (MD). If time permits, head NE towards the boulders on the left side of the road. Otherwise, proceed directly to the walker as it appears at the boulders, aiming to engage it head-on before it can fire its plasma cannon. If your health is below 70%, sprint to WTSH to heal. Grab a log and eliminate the Headcrabs (Hs). If health is sufficient, grab a log and advance on the Hs.

    SAVE and travel via CRSA to SW#6. Use the SMR2 vehicle to reach the mill and then the Cranes. Quickly neutralize at least one, preferably both, Headcrabs. Sprint to the car if necessary, follow, and use the vehicle to destroy #6. Continue using the car with CR/SMR to reach SM.

    SAVE and travel from SMSA to SMR2/SMR1. Proceed to SW#7, which should be near, at, or passing SM. Destroy #7. Sprint to SM if needed. Reload the car if time allows, then drive CR/SMR East towards SMSA.

    SAVE and travel from WTSA to SMSA or SM. Engage in 2H combat. The enemies are typically located on the water just before the top slope at SMSA or at SMSA itself. Due to the difficulty of killing the 2 Headcrabs on foot, especially after previous encounters, it is recommended to run down the closest one, brake, turn, and head for the second Headcrab. If this maneuver is missed, or if something is hit, it can result in further or fatal damage. An alternative strategy is to brake when you have line of sight on the second Headcrab, exit the vehicle, switch to the Pulse Rifle (PR), and engage from cover. Then, sprint back to the car and drive up the slope of #8. Brake, exit, and destroy #8.

    SAVE and engage SW#9. This encounter typically involves 1-2 Headcrabs. Check the radar and drive towards the blip. If health is low, it is advisable to remain in the car until one Headcrab is eliminated. If you have 30% health or more, attempt to run down the second Headcrab. SW#9 is preferably encountered while it is moving away from you; if it is moving towards you, it will engage in weapon fire, so maneuver behind it for destruction.

    Before returning to base, visit the SHs to heal. Then, proceed to the gate. Walk or run through the structure until you meet Alyx, then follow her through the doorway. The next section, T-Minus One, begins after the loading screen.

    T-MINUS ONE: Follow Alyx to the elevator and then to Eli and Dr. Kleiner. Press the start sequence button when prompted. Head outside with the group to observe the event. After the event, Dog departs. Follow Alyx and Eli into the hanger in preparation for the end of Eli Vance's storyline.

  • On hard mode, if you are significantly damaged from previous encounters, it may be more successful to run down the Headcrabs.
  • The spawning area and direction for SW#9 can be inconsistent. Pay attention to the rebel radio for any mentions of its location while dealing with SW#7 and #8.
  • If you have low health during the SW#9 encounter, it is safer to stay in the car until one Headcrab is dealt with.
