What Shakra sells: Shakra deals in crude maps and useful tools like the Quill, Pins, Markers, and the Compass. You'll need to trade her Rosaries for these items. Remember, each new area you discover will likely have a fresh Shakra to visit, and once you've bought everything she offers in a region, she'll stop appearing there. So, always be on the lookout for her when you enter new zones!

The Maps: Even the maps you buy from Shakra start out pretty basic – think of them as rough sketches. They're better than nothing, but not super detailed on their own. You'll definitely want to grab some accessories to make them truly useful.

Quill

This is one of the first things you should aim to buy from Shakra. Once you have the Quill, Hornet will start filling in the details on the maps as you explore. Areas you've visited will be drawn with solid lines, colored in, and generally look much better. If there are parts of the map Shakra didn't initially include, Hornet will fill those in as you explore, and they'll update when you rest.

Pins and Markers

A filled-out map is great, but you can make it even better with pins and markers. Pins will automatically add points of interest to your map, like benches or merchants, depending on which pins you buy. Markers, on the other hand, let you place your own custom flags on the map. This is super handy for noting down locked doors, tricky ledges, or anything else you want to remember. Having these marked makes it way easier to navigate and find important spots!

Compass

The base map has a couple of drawbacks: it's not very detailed until you use the Quill and Markers, and it doesn't show your current location. This is where the Compass comes in. Equipping it will mark Hornet's position on the map, which is a lifesaver in a Metroidvania. However, there's a trade-off: the Compass takes up a yellow tool slot. You'll have to decide if tracking your location is worth giving up the benefits of whatever else you might have equipped there.
