The Terrible Tyrant: Skull Boss Guide

Learn the Skull Tyrant's location in The Marrow and master its three attacks. Get tips on dodging debris and its charge to claim the Crown Fragment and Heavy Rosary Necklace.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Pogo jumping on the Skull Tyrant does not inflict damage.
• The boss is covered by a hard skull, making direct pogo attacks ineffective.
• Damage taken from attacks is typically two masks.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Charge Attack
   The Skull Tyrant charges directly at the player. This can be dodged by jumping over it.
2. Phase 2: Jumping Attacks & Debris
   The Skull Tyrant jumps and causes debris to fall from the ceiling upon landing.
• Variation A: Forward Jump
  If the boss jumps forward, only one or two pieces of debris will fall.
• Variation B: Jump in Place
  If the boss jumps in place, it will typically do so three times, causing a larger amount of debris to fall.

Strategy:

• When the Skull Tyrant charges, jump over it to dodge.
• For the jumping attacks, try to dash underneath the boss if it jumps forward, or move away from it to avoid the falling debris.
• Be cautious of getting cornered, especially on the far right side of the arena.
• Maintain a safe distance and avoid being overly aggressive to prevent taking unnecessary damage.
• Focus on dodging and looking for openings to attack after its combos.

• Upon defeating the Skull Tyrant, loot the glowing item on the ground to obtain the Crown Fragment.
• Return to the Wishwall in Bone Bottom and interact with it to complete the quest.
• The final reward for completing the quest is the Heavy Rosary Necklace.
