The Terror of the Sun

Guide to The Terror of the Sun quest in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. Learn how to defeat the Corrupted Behemoth and survive the Sun Ring.

Alright, so you've just triggered 'The Terror of the Sun' quest in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. This one's pretty straightforward – it's mainly an interim fight. You'll kick things off with a lengthy cutscene featuring Helis and Aloy. After that, Helis is going to drop you right into the Sun Ring. To make things spicy, two Corruptors have just overridden a Behemoth in there with you!

BOSS: CORRUPTED BEHEMOTH

Your first priority is getting your gear back. See those pillars scattered around the arena? Get yourself in front of one and bait the Behemoth into attacking. As it charges, dodge out of the way just before it hits. The Behemoth will smash into the pillar, destroying it and causing your gear to fall into the ring. You'll need to do this twice to get all your equipment back.

Once you've got your gear, quickly equip your best Tearblast and Fire Arrows. Aim for the Behemoth's weak points – you know, those glowing spots. Placing Blast Wires in its path before it charges can also deal some serious damage. Just keep moving around the arena, keeping the Behemoth at a distance while you chip away at its health. Don't forget to keep an eye on your own health bar and pop a heal if you're getting low.

After you finally take down the Behemoth, Helis is going to be pretty ticked off and will order the Corruptors to finish you. But don't worry, just in the nick of time, Sylens arrives with his own machines, Striders and Ravagers, to help you out and get you out of the Sun Ring.
