Alright, so you're diving into the world of I Am Setsuna! It's a pretty linear game, which means you'll mostly be guided from one area to the next. Don't expect to backtrack too much through old dungeons unless you really want to. As you're moving through these areas and even the world map, keep an eye out for little sparkles on the ground – those are your shiny spots!

Picking up these shiny spots is super important because they're ingredients. You can take these ingredients to specific NPCs to get food items and even recipes. Once you've gathered the four ingredients needed, chat with the right person, and they'll hook you up with the food and a recipe. Turn that recipe into the Chef, and you'll be able to buy that food item from them anytime, anywhere you bump into them.

You'll also run into a couple of other key NPCs. The Magic Consortium guy is your go-to for selling stuff – think Spritnite, consumables, and materials you get from enemies or those shiny spots. He's also where you'll buy new Spritnite, and what he has available depends on what you've sold him. Then there's the Blacksmith, who lets you grab new weapons, talismans, and even items to upgrade your weapons. Don't forget the Apothecary for your everyday usable items!
