Navigate the complex Lost Precursor City in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Follow our guide to overcome challenges, collect Precursor Orbs, and find Power Cells.

The Lost Precursor City is a large and intricate level in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, featuring new challenges and requiring careful navigation. Follow the pontoons from the dock on the right side of the village square to find the entrance. Stomp on the button to ride the elevator down.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon reaching the bottom, head through the doorway. The first hallway contains orbs and introduces electric water hazards; avoid them.
  2. 2
Enter a massive chamber. Collect Precursor Orbs, including those on higher levels accessible via shuttle platforms. Beware of a flying Lurker guarding some orbs.
  3. 3
Use the elevator to reach a platform on the right, then another elevator to the top. Run along the ledge into a hallway. Wait for the water to become safe, then quickly dive in to grab Precursor Orbs before the water becomes hazardous again.
  4. 4
Proceed to another chamber. Ignore the Lurkers below unless you fall. One ledge leads onward, another contains a Scout Fly.
  5. 5
Use the "tandem platforms" to cross the gap. These platforms move in sync: when you stand on one, the other circles around it. Collect everything, cross to the far ledge, fight the Lurker, and proceed.
  6. 6
Enter a very large room. Drop onto the ledge below and to the left, and head through the tunnel to find a Power Cell. This Power Cell is part of the "Reach the Center of the Complex" task.
  7. 7
Navigate falling platforms to collect Precursor Orbs in this chamber. Be constantly moving.
  8. 8
Hop onto the far ledge to encounter "Spinners." These enemies require Jak's dive attack from above. Use their spinning to smash metal boxes. Collect all Precursor Orbs, then defeat the Spinners.
  9. 9
You can interact with a whirlpool, but it's not necessary. Two corridors are available. Take the one to the left of your entry point.
  10. 10
Hop across the water using the central platform, avoiding the whirlpool, to reach the next chamber. Defeat the two Lurkers. (Note: Another Power Cell can be acquired prematurely here; see "Quickly Cross the Dangerous Pool" for details.)
  11. 11
Hop onto the slide to the right for a ride. Grab Precursor Orbs and open metal chests by sliding into them. Avoid electric pipes and Dark Eco crates. You can jump while sliding.
  12. 12
At the bottom chamber, clear out the Spinners.
  13. 13
Solve the puzzle: charge up with Blue Eco from a vent and power up all five "boppers" simultaneously. Hit the bopper adjacent to the vent, then the one on the ledge above. Jump to the second level to charge two more boppers. Finally, jump back down to hit the last one.
  14. 14
This opens a door in the central fixture. Enter and hit the floor switch to ride back to the surface.
  15. 15
Jump into the water (it's safe now) and swim to the nearby ledge. Collect orbs as you climb to the top, then collect your Power Cell.
  16. 16
Return to the massive chamber you briefly visited earlier. Press Triangle for first-person view. On the other side are three large tubes: one contains a Power Cell, and the other two contain Scout Flies. Use the tandem platforms to reach them.
Tips
  • To swim back to the mainland safely, look for the reef or rocks below. Swimming directly above the reef will prevent Lurker Sharks from attacking.
  • The electric water in the first hallway causes damage to Jak.
  • The "tandem platforms" require practice to master their circular movement.
  • "Spinners" are defeated by Jak's dive attack from above. Their spinning can break metal boxes.
  • The puzzle in the slide chamber requires activating five "boppers" using Blue Eco.
  • Power Cells
  • Precursor Orbs
  • Scout Flies
