Find the Yellow Eco vent switch and stop Lurker Glacier Troops in Snowy Mountain for Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Learn how to get Power Cells.
A gondola in the Volcanic Crater, initially out of service, can be fixed by Keira after you collect three or four Power Cells in the Volcanic Crater.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon arriving at Snowy Mountain, you will be swarmed by Snow Lurkers that constantly respawn (a good source of Green Eco). You will also see a Precursor device surrounded by a force field, which is part of a different task.
- 2Run onward and roll-jump across the gap.
- 3On the far side, you will encounter a Porcupine Lurker. Dodge its attacks until it retracts its spikes, then attack it.
- 4Ahead, ignore the sloped path and run into the cave.
- 5Roll-jump onto the first isolated platform, then double-jump upward onto the next.
- 6Beware of the Bouncy Lurker on the upper platform, which can knock you off the ledge.
- 7Use a roll-jump to exit the cavern. Ignore the metal boxes for now.
- 8Slap or avoid the Snow Lurkers. The ice pond behind them contains four Precursor Blockers that can be activated now.
- 9Take time to get acclimated to controlling Jak on the ice, noting that Jak's punch (Square) or forward roll (L1/R1) are good for changing direction. There is a Red Eco vent at the edge of the pond, but it cannot be used yet.
- 10Slide to the far side of the pond.
- 11Ignore the bridge to the left and the catapult-type machine. Run straight past the catapult.
- 12Run straight ahead into the cave.
- 13Carefully climb down the ledges, using roll-jumps to cross the two largest gaps to reach the Lurker Fort area.
- 14Search for trees near the rock wall to the left to find a hidden cavern.
- 15Inside, carefully jump onto the icy ledge ahead, avoiding the piston. If you are not touching the Left Analog Stick when landing on the ice, you have a better chance of remaining steady.
- 16When the piston retracts, quickly roll and leap onto the shuttle platform.
- 17This platform will carry you to a snow-covered ledge. Mind the piston and crouch-jump to access the upper ledge.
- 18Hop onto the ice ahead, then jump onto a piston platform and quickly leap onto a second sheet of ice.
- 19Slide across this ice to find one last piston. Wait for it to retract, then step onto the shuttle platform.
- 20This platform will take you to a Precursor construction. Grab the Power Cell on top to unblock Yellow Eco vents worldwide.
Tips
- Snow Lurkers constantly respawn and are a good source of Green Eco.
- The Porcupine Lurker is impervious to Jak's attacks when its spikes are out; dodge until it retracts them.
- Jak's punch (Square) or forward roll (L1/R1) are effective for changing direction on ice.
- When dealing with pistons on ice, try not to touch the Left Analog Stick when landing to maintain stability.
Walkthrough
- 1There are three wooden catapult-like structures operated by Lurkers in Snowy Mountain. You must defeat the Lurker operators.
- 2Each Lurker operator carries a shield that deflects Jak's normal attacks and can shoot fireballs.
- 3Near each Lurker, find a Red Eco vent. Charge up with Red Eco, attack once to destroy the Lurker's shield, and attack a second time to defeat the Lurker.
- 4The first Glacier Trooper is at the top of the snowball slope; the Red Eco vent is on the other side of the path.
- 5Return to the bottom of the slope and go through the cave (as done for the previous Power Cell). Grab Red Eco near the frozen pond, then dash around the corner to find the second Glacier Trooper.
- 6The last Glacier Trooper is in the valley below the Lurker Fort. Drop down near the rope bridge to find the Red Eco vent, then look for snowy ledges leading to the goal.
- 7Defeat all three Lurkers to win another Power Cell.
Tips
- Use Red Eco to break the Lurker Glacier Trooper's shield and defeat them.
Walkthrough
- 1Locate the Precursor buttons with force fields around them.
- 2These buttons are deactivated by hitting four Precursor Blockers, which are found in the ice pond area.
Tips
- The Precursor Blockers are located in the ice pond behind the Snow Lurkers.
