Discover the best early game weapons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, including the Barbed Wire Bat, Broken Commandment Nunchaku, and more, to dominate enemies before Chapter 6.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, like most Yakuza games, is a slow starter. The first few chapters serve as tutorials, introducing gameplay, characters, and the setting. Most gear upgrades before Chapter 3 are scripted or minor. The most interesting loot is often unusable until jobs are unlocked in Chapter 5. Weapon crafting, available in Chapter 4, offers better gear, but this guide focuses on what's realistically achievable by the end of Chapter 5, with some grinding.

If you're willing to grind, several potent weapons can be crafted in Chapter 4, including the Barbed Wire Bat.

Barbed Wire Bat

You'll upgrade Ichiban's bat early in Chapter 4. While the Hero's Bat is a decent upgrade, the Barbed Wire Bat offers a more substantial improvement by the end of the chapter. To craft it, purchase a Metal Bat from Panthera Sports Kingdom (Worldwide Market Village, West Waikiki) for $500. You'll also need 30 Rainbow Fragments and $250 for crafting.

The Anaconda Shopping Center is the best place to earn money without excessive leveling. Hunt Krass Kringle enemies, using magic attacks as they dodge physical ones. Each kill yields around $70 plus other enemy drops. The Barbed Wire Baseball Bat boasts 58 Attack, 53 Magic, and inflicts Bleed, offering a x3 damage boost over the Hero's Bat.

Broken Commandment Nunchaku

This three-star weapon for the Action Star job is unusable before Chapter 4's job change and unobtainable until near the end of Chapter 5, when the Hawaiian Haunt unlocks. Complete Substory 34 - Legend of the Labyrinth to access the Hawaiian Haunt. Loot chests in Sector 1 for a chance to find this weapon. Enemies are around Lv18+, suitable for your progression. It offers 54 Attack, 44 Magic, and inflicts Stun, a solid upgrade over the Japanese Oak Nunchaku, and it's free.

Cheating Hand

In an alley southeast of Revolve, off Fuji St. in Little Japan, you'll find a hidden gambling hall. Gain entry after a brief verbal confrontation. Inside, play Koi-Koi or Oicho-kabu to earn wooden tags, exchangeable for items including this weapon. Alternatively, purchase tags at a rate of $1 per tag. Trade 456 tags ($456) for this three-star Cabbie-exclusive weapon. It has 35 Attack, 35 Magic, and can remove enemy buffs and lower Willpower on hit. It's not as strong as the Ignition Wrench but much easier to acquire.

Diving Knife

Chests in the Hawaiian Haunt offer free gear upgrades. The Diving Knife, a three-star weapon for the Kunoichi, is one such reward. Robo Michio gives it to you for rescuing five people from Sector 1. This weapon has 49 Attack, 49 Magic, and can lower an enemy's Agility on hit.

Durian Maracas

Similar to the Broken Commandment Nunchaku, this weapon can be found in a chest in Sector 1 of the Hawaiian Haunt. It's a three-star weapon for the Geodancer job, boasting 41 Attack, 50 Magic, and the ability to lower enemy Willpower on hit, making it superior to the Blooming Maracas.

Dynamite Nunchaku

In Chapter 4, during your visit to the Anaconda Shopping Center, you'll engage with the Sujimon League via Substory 37 - Choosing Your Starter. After this, you can participate in the Sujimon League storyline. Advance by visiting Suji Spots and challenging other trainers to level up your Sujimon. Reach the Sujimon Stadium (accessible via Sujigami PC Shop in Anaconda Shopping Center) to compete in leagues and earn points. These points can be exchanged for rewards, including the Dynamite Nunchaku. These four-star weapons for the Action Star job cost 45,000 points but offer 94 Attack, 81 Magic, and the ability to lower an enemy's willpower on hit, making them tempting despite being unusable until job changing is unlocked in Chapter 5.

Ephemeral Longsword

Around the middle of Chapter 3, you'll be introduced to the Aloha Links collectathon via Substory 5 - Welcome to Hawaii MFer. After this substory, you can begin to...
