In the Cellar, in Gaming Room I, is a magazine that advertises several games. It also has a number to call. This number is random every playthrough, but if you call it, you'll be allowed to order some games for your Byte Seyes. Unfortunately, you can't order anything but three of the games on the list, but still, once you spend your ten dollars each for them, they will get immediately delivered to the Reception Desk, so that's convenient.
ilomilo Shuffle
The original ilomilo was made by Simogo back in 2010 for Xbox Live Arcade. The game took ilo and milo onto a block-crafted world and had them make changes to the blocks in order to explore. In "ilomilo Shuffle" for the Byte Seyes, ilo & milo's journey has become a bit more hectic.
The object of this game is to collect points and keep both ilo & milo alive. The controls are simple. The directional input moves both ilo & milo at the same time... and that's it. Here are the details:
- You cannot manually push either character off the edge. They will stop moving, so the general idea is to keep them both arranged and rearranged to best position yourself.
- Over the course of the game, you'll see arrows appear on the walkable area. After a few seconds, the entire row or column will shift in that direction. If a block goes past the end of the playing field, it will drop. You will know these blocks because they are marked with a checkered pattern. If either character is on a block when it drops, the game is over.
- Beyond that, your goal is to pick things up that appear on the field for points. A photograph will be worth 1 point, a white critter is worth 20 points, a gray critter is worth 30 points, and a black critter is worth 50 points.
The achievement for this game is to get a score of 500. As the game accelerates considerably over the course of gathering points, you'll find a lot of this is being able to react, and there's not really a "surefire" way of doing it. You just have to practice and keep your eyes open, keep to the center as much as you can, and have patience. It may not be worth it to lunge for the critter on the edge if it means you'll get trapped.
SPL-T 2
The original SPL-T (by Simogo) was designed as a "palette cleanser" for the studio as they finished development on Year Walk and were beginning to put together Sayonara Wild Hearts. The idea came from one of their designers who would play a little pen-and-paper game where he would split a grid and continually split it until he filled up the paper with the grid, thus did Simogo take that idea and make the original SPL-T.
This is the game more or less recreated on the Byte Seyes system with some updates. Simogo said they designed it so it could be figured out without a tutorial, but hey, I'm a rebel, and I'm giving you the lowdown. Here is the gameplay flow:
- Every action is a "split" of the main playing field. You will alternate between horizontal splits and vertical splits over the entire game. Note your little dude at the top of the screen who moves his arms based on which way the next split will be.
- One a "split" is laid down, that is now a new part of the grid. You cannot cross lines with any splits, so as you'll see, you'll be splitting smaller and smaller portions of the field.
- Once you have an area that is four blocks of the same size (not necessarily the smallest size), those four blocks will get a number in them. That number is the same number as the number of splits you've made up to that point, so as you get further into the game, the number will start higher. These blocks can no longer be split.
- The number in the blocks will reduce by 1 for every follow-up split you make. When the number reaches 0, the blocks will vanish, letting gravity take over and collapsing the rest of the blocks downward. A new block will appear at the top to fill the empty space above.
- Also for every set of four numbered blocks you make, the number at the top of the screen will tick down one. Once you get three sets of blocks, then you'll be given a Bomb to use.
- Once you have a Bomb, you can only use it on a block that you cannot split in the current direction you're splitting. You'll know you can use the Bomb when you see the Bomb icon appear in the corner of the block as you highlight it. If you choose to use the Bomb, then the block will be destroyed AND every numbered block on the screen will be reduced by half. This is a very handy way to speed up the demolition, especially once you get to higher numbers. You can stock up to a total of five Bombs at once.
- The game ends when you have no possible splits, meaning, for example, that the next split is horizontal and you're at the minimum height on all available blocks.
The achievement is to get 200 splits (no need to worry about score). Practice and get used to the flow and try to leave yourself as many options open as possible. As the game is always the same no matter what, there is a "solved" version of this. Credit to YouTuber Tasselfoot for this solution:

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes
Well this all sounds a bit familiar. This is a Byte Seyes variant on the game you're playing right now. Your character will be tossed into the Red Maze and you will have to collect items and avoid dangers as you try to reach the center of the maze. Your only controls are to move in the four cardinal directions.
Items
- Dollar Bill - Worth nothing more than points. There are eighty in every level, and you get an additional points bonus at the end if you collect all of them.
- Key - With a key,
